He/They

It’s funny on all sides to consider Loid and Yor in dangerous professions who believe their respective spouse is a normal person, but objectively it’s funnier from Yor’s point of view that she’s an assassin and she’s convinced Loid is Just Some Guy. Like imagine you’re moonlighting as a literal assassin and you get fake married to some blondie who’s a psychiatrist
Post reveal, Loid sees Yor off for work for the first time since they’re together, together and he’s feeling a lot. Drew this a couple months ago so their faces might be off.
Isn’t it very interesting how Twilight (unconsciously) projects his feelings for Yor through Anya?
Because what better way to disguise your own feelings than through your daughter, right?Don’t get me wrong, Twilight and Yor are wonderful parents who give priority to Anya, especially her feelings. Even if they are failing at times, they realize they must correct for the sake of their little girl’s well-being. But moving away from the parenting issue….. Both Twilight and Yor look for ways to express their feelings and verbalize them through Anya, (and it is more evident in Twilight).
If we observe, most of the times Twilight expresses her feelings for Yor she looks for a way to project onto Anya those feelings. Instead of talking about what he feels, he talks about what Anya feels (an indirect way of expressing himself):
Anya’s feelings for her mom are genuine, but so are his.
When he tells Yor how hard she works hard enough and Anya loves her for that very reason, and can’t ask for more.
Yes, Anya loves her mom, because she tries hard…. But…maybe… He also loves her for exactly the same reasons?
.
When we see Twilight remember his mother and tells Yor that Anya feels safe by her side because she gives her the comfort and security to smile.
But Twilight also feels safe by Yor’s side, enough to be able to talk about his own life (going against the rules of a spy), she also gives him emotional support, makes him smile and relax, makes him feel he can count on her for the situations he doesn’t know how to handle.
.
When Anya feels that her mom is missing her during the dinner cruise, because it’s so much more fun for the three of them to be together.
Oh, wait….he misses her too, doesn’t he? Even though the two of them are together, having fun, when Yor is gone he feels a bit lonely.
.
And she keeps asking (lamenting) that they haven’t had a chance to see her during the entire cruise, nor during the fireworks… Why is Anya missing her? But only Anya, right?
Hmmm…. even when Anya falls asleep or is very excited he still remembers that they didn’t get to see Yor.
.
If Yor talks about “wanting peace to last forever” she is talking about Anya’s peace and happiness (not his, right?)
…Or like when Twilight states that Yor goes out of his way to brighten Anya’s day during the island tour even though she’s so exhausted from her work. Because Yor thinks only of brightening Anya’s day (?) (not spending time with him, ?????).
.
In retrospect you remember that after the disastrous date they had (and the chin punch) Twilight claims that Yor rejected him and that the only emotional bond she has is with Anya, (because Yor has no feelings for him).
And if we go back a little further you remember that Twiligh acknowledged that seeing Anya crying (during the first chapter) irritates him is because it reminds him of himself. It reminded him of how vulnerable he also was (and is) and made him relive those feelings he thought were lost.
If you notice Twilight only talks about his impression (feelings) for Yor regarding what Anya feels, and indirectly he usually excludes herself. He doesn’t usually talk about what he feels but what Anya feels. And it becomes more suspicious, when he usually refers that Yor’s feelings are exclusively for Anya (and not for him)
.
Maybe Twilight and Anya are very different, maybe they both have had very different lives, maybe it’s a spy and an esper, maybe it’s an adult and a six (possible four) year old.
But something that Twilight and Anya clearly have in common is the emotional need to have a support, to have a shelter, a place to be vulnerable, to have warm arms that welcome them and make them feel safe. That’s why both Twilight and Anya’s being so strong becomes such an admirable and special characteristic, because it makes them feel safe. The strength she has to overcome adversity and still keep smiling and protecting those she loves.
Yor makes Anya feel safe, Yor makes Twilight feel safe. Anya likes having such a strong mom,Twilight likes having such a strong wife, Anya needs her mom…. Twilight needs his wife
So… he wasn’t the least bit affected by Yor’s rejection, was he? Ah, right! It’s all about the mission!

At the beginning of the series, Twilight never once questions whether the woman who conveniently proposes to be his fake wife - exactly what he needs for his mission - is a spy or not. The man is desperate, sure, but you’d think he’d wonder how everything is falling into place so smoothly.
It’s only when he has feelings that he imagines Yor could be a spy… Who knows why. (We all know why.)
Twilight, neck deep in denial that he’s in love with Yor: she must be a spy that’s trying to seduce me! That’s the only explanation for why I’m having all of these strange feelings!
Yor, in the process of accidentally seducing the greatest spy from Westalis: Loid thinks I’m such a burden. No one could love a woman as strange as me. 😔
SxF scenario you partially inspired, so behold whether you like it or not
Yuri is about to visit at a very inopportune time so they have to dissuade him from coming in by the time he gets to the door. Their Yor's solution? Loid answers the door in a stupor and his face covered in Yor's lipstick marks. The implication causes Yuri to run away as if his life depended on it.
Thank you Anon,
I had fun with this one 🤣💗💗
#anya was the one who actually kissed him #if this was prereveal
@createrealitea thank you… you are very right 🤣
Cosmic cat! ✨💫🌙⭐️🌕
Good job leading that ship onto the rocks, high-five!
That’s was a fun project I got myself into on a self-dare. The title comes from that tiny tiny figure on the lighthouse getting a high-five from the Chtulhu-like creature. Sadly this picture was a victim of the 2017 computer crash that caused the loss of several of my original HD files, so the zoom-ins (old WIP screenshots I had made and posted on instagram) are the last proof of this even being the case.

The funniest thing is that Twilight and Yor had this whole conversation as if they’d forgotten Nightfall was even there. Because to them - to Twilight in particular - she really wasn’t. In all these panels, he is just looking
probablylovingly at his wife. The bottom panel is everything! Bond resting his head on the sofa arm, Anya looking up at her papa with a big wide smile and eyes full of love. Loid looking across to Yor with heart eyes and a genuine smile. And then there is Yor, Yor who is self conscious at times of how far to go and if she is good enough at being a wife, being a mother, being part of the family, and here she is reacting to Loid telling her, you are all of those things, and are the only one who will be. Hand on her chest, eyes locked onto Loid’s as she drinks in his adoration and praise. This, this is the Forger family, in their home, in comfy clothes, relaxing and being together.
Kagami suffering more because of her feelings towards Marinette’s than for Adrien
And then Adrien saying to Kagami: “Marinette is not a liar, she is courageous, fearless, generous. And that’s why i love her. And deep down, you know that too”
Like, añlsdkñalsfk just say she is bi and that Kagami likes both of them!!!
